Winnie the Pooh Day – 18th January 2020

Everyone loves Winnie the Pooh don’t they? 94 years ago A.A Milne inspired the books of much loved characters based on Christopher Robin and his much loved friend. Over the years several characters have been added including the loveable Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet.

Now a much-loved collection that is still around to this day, read by young and old alike has been translated in to 50 languages from around the world.

Few interesting facts about the loveable bear.

·       Winnie is shortened from Winnipeg a state in Canada

·       It is estimated to make $5 billion a year for Disney

·       Hundred Acre Wood is based on Ashdown Forest in Sussex.
