We have found something a little different to do this Easter in Godalming.
Painshill is hosting an Easter themed family afternoon tea. They have combined an afternoon tea with a bit of Easter related crafts. You will be given everything needed to create an Easter basket. Also, you’ll get edible eggs to decorate and fill the basket with.
Your afternoon tea will consist of finger sandwiches, mini scones with jam and cream, mini cakes, desserts, tea/coffee and juice.
This event runs from April 19th-22nd and can be booked for 12 pm or 3 pm. It costs £16.00 for adults and £8.50 for children 12 and under. The afternoon tea takes place in the tea room within the Painshill grounds, therefore can only be booked if you plan on paying admission into the grounds for the day.
If you are able to attend on April 20th or April 21st, Painshill is also running another two Easter events.
On April 20th there will be an Easter bunny hat craft activity from 11:00 am- 2:00 pm, where the children will be provided with a mixture of craft and natural objects to create their masterpiece. This activity will run in the Abercorn room with a suggested donation of £1 per child towards materials, on top of the general admission.
On April 21st there will be an Easter chocolate treasure hunt. You will have to follow the treasure hunt to find the clues, only when you have solved all the riddles, will you find the Easter bunny's hidden chocolate. This event will run from 10 am - 1 pm or until all the eggs are found. So, you'll want to do this before your afternoon tea if you're planning to do both. There is no extra cost for this event.
Of course, besides these events, the grounds of Painshill are beautiful and something to be enjoyed themselves.
If you're looking for a Cadbury Easter egg hunt then how about this one at Dapdune Wharf?
The Easter family fun day & Cadbury egg hunt will take place on April 19th in Dapdune Wharf. It is promised to be a day of family fun with Easter themed races for not just the children, but parents too. They will be craft activities and of course the Easter egg hunt. Plenty to keep the little ones busy and hopefully wear off any extra energy from the chocolate.
Whatever you choose to do, we hope you have a wondeful Easter!
