Can your little one recognise the numbers on the clock? How many seconds in a minute?
It's also fantastic for literacy - what about discussing what we do at different times of the day? Is 7am wake up time? 8am breakfast? What do we do when the clock gets to 5pm? Use words such as day/night, light/dark, sun/moon, breakfast/dinner, nursery/home. Are there any activites that we do in the morning and night time - brushing teeth / washing our face?
If you're feeling crafty, this is the perfect time to make a paper plate clock!
