Toddletown Farnham is celebrating after being named Nursery School of the Year – Surrey 2026/27 Winner South England Prestige Awards.

The awards, which recognise outstanding businesses across the UK and praised Toddletown: ‘This is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the impact, professionalism, and reputation you have built within the industry.’

This achievement belongs to each and every member of the team. From comforting children and encouraging first steps in learning, to building meaningful relationships with families.

Harrison, Nursery Manager at Toddletown, proudly said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have received this recognition. At Toddletown, we are passionate about creating a home-from-home environment where children can shine.”

This is a particularly exciting year for the nursery after Farnham achieved Most Nurturing Early Years Day Nursery in Surrey in the SME UK Enterprise Awards and their manager Harrison is shortlisted for Nursery Manger of the year at the Nursery Management Today Awards.

Toddletown Farnham, have created a warm, home-from-home environment where children can grow with confidence.

Inside, the children are surrounded by spaces designed to inspire; from imaginative role play areas and a dedicated art gallery wall, to cosy reading corners and hands-on discovery zones. Every stage, from babyhood through to preschool, is supported with thoughtful resources that spark curiosity and nurture independence.

The judges at the Prestige Awards commended Toddletown for going above and beyond in its approach to childcare, with a focus on nurturing, supporting and inspiring children while providing families with a reliable and high-quality service.

On Saturday 12th we opened our doors to all who wanted to experience what Farnham has to offer. Each corner of the nursery was set up with activities themed around our curriculum. We were also running free Let’s Grow and Sing and Sign tasters too.

The aim of our Let’s Grow! Programme is to foster children’s understanding, curiosity and appreciation of their natural world, developing their awareness of the importance of environmental issues and sustainability. When engaged in gardening activities children have the opportunity to develop their understanding of the natural world, begin to appreciate its beauty and learn to take care of it. Throughout the year the children will have the opportunity to sow seeds, tend to the plants and harvest the produce developing their understanding of where food comes from. This produce will then be used in cooking activities and our Nursery menus supporting children’s understanding of healthier lifestyles.

The Sing and Sign programme was developed by Speech and Language Therapist in 2001, it provides the benefits of both music and baby signing to support early communication skills. Staff at Toddletown have been specifically trained to deliver the Sing and Sign Programme. It promotes the use of early keyword signing alongside normal speech at the single word level to enhance communication between babies, toddlers and adults. The mutual understanding of these signs can also reduce frustration when babies and toddlers communication is at the pre verbal stage.

Toddletown Farnham, celebrate their Manager being shortlisted for the Nursery Manager NMT Award!

Farnham, are extremely proud of their manager, Harrison, who is a finalist for the Nursery Manger NMT Award 2026, with the winner being announced at the Awards Ceremony in November.

As part of the nomination, Harrison’s nominee had to demonstrate his leadership skills and the ability to support, develop and motivate staff, along with the ability to work with young children and their families in a sensitive and positive way and the ability to create a safe, caring and stimulating environment. The award submission summarised how his role and day to day management is so outstanding. Harrison Wheatley-hall stated, “I’m delighted to have been named a finalist for Nursery Manager of the Year at the National NMT Nursery Awards 2026. 🌸 Our Maples Are Blooming Into School 🌸

We had a wonderful time celebrating our amazing Maples at Toddletown Farnham as they prepare for their next adventure at school.
The children enjoyed some of their favourite activities, including dinosaurs, potion making and, of course, play dough! We also had a special photo booth with frames the children helped to decorate, plus snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

We were so proud to see how confident our Maples were as they performed “I Can Sing a Rainbow” using both singing and sign language. It was a truly special moment. 🎓
