Hear what our team have to say about working at Toddletown Godalming:
Joining Toddletown as the newest member of the team has honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Starting somewhere new can be a little nerve-wracking, but everyone was so welcoming from day one and made me feel like part of the team straight away.
What I love most about Toddletown is how much everyone genuinely cares, not only about the children, but about each other too. It’s such a positive and friendly place to work, and you can really feel that as soon as you walk through the door. Every day is different, and it’s so rewarding knowing you’re making a difference while working alongside such a lovely team. If you’re looking for a nursery where you’ll feel supported, appreciated, and excited to come to work each day, I’d definitely recommend joining Toddletown! ~ Beth (Deputy Manager)
Working as an apprentice has provided me with valuable hands-on experience while allowing me to develop my skills and knowledge in a supportive working environment. Throughout my apprenticeship, I have been given dedicated training and sufficient time to complete my core work to a high standard. I have benefited from the guidance of an approachable and supportive team who have encouraged my development, answered questions, and helped build my confidence. This positive environment has enabled me to grow both personally and professionally while contributing effectively to the workplace. ~ Izzy (Pre-school Apprentice)
I joined Toddletown shortly after a lifechanging event in my life which affected me in many ways including mentally. From day one Toddletown have been nothing but supportive. I was able to start at hours I needed and increase them gradually but at my own pace. There was never any pressure to do this before I was ready. In the early days my shifts were worked to be able to attend groups etc I needed to attend.
The management have an open door policy where you can go and talk to them whenever you need to. Room leaders also have regular catch ups and are happy to listen if you go to them asking to talk. Management are very supportive and are very aware of the importance of good mental health and will do what they can to support this. ~ Sarah (Early Years Practitioner)
I really enjoy working at Toddletown because I feel supported as I work towards gaining my qualifications. The team encourages me to learn and develop my skills, which has helped me grow in confidence. I also value the positive work-life balance and the sense of belonging I have with my work family. Working at Toddletown has been a rewarding and supportive experience. ~ Laura (Early Years Practitioner)
I’ve recently returned to Toddletown after having my second child, and I’ve received such a warm welcome from everyone. It’s been so lovely to catch up with familiar faces, meet new colleagues, and feel like I’ve slotted straight back into the nursery as if I’d never been away.
Coming back to an environment I know and love has made returning to work so special. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, and the wonderful families we look after make it an even more rewarding place to be.
I’m so happy to be back and can’t wait to make more wonderful memories with the children and families at Toddletown! ~ Megan (Returning Employee)
My journey at Toddletown has been an incredibly rewarding six years. I started as a Practitioner, and through hard work, dedication, and a passion for early years education, I have progressed to the role of Early Years Deputy Room Supervisor. I genuinely love my job and feel privileged to be part of such a supportive and caring team. Toddletown has always felt like one big family, where everyone works together to provide the best possible care and learning experiences for the children. I am proud of how far I have come and look forward to continuing to grow and contribute to the Toddletown family. ~ Sophie (Deputy Supervisor)
