Farnham’s Creative Inset Day

A Day of Learning, Wellbeing and Creativity at Toddletown! 🌿✨

Our recent Toddletown INSET Day was all about investing in our wonderful team, sharing new ideas and continuing to develop the best possible experiences for our children.

We kicked off the day with Boogie Mites training, exploring how music, movement and rhythm can support children’s development, communication, listening skills and learning through fun, engaging activities. 🎶

We then took some much-needed time to focus on staff health and wellbeing, welcoming the wonderful Sue all the way from Glastonbury to deliver a relaxing sound bath experience. This gave our team the opportunity to slow down, switch off from the busyness of everyday nursery life and enjoy a moment of calm and relaxation. We believe that looking after our team is just as important as looking after our children.

Next came our charity shop challenge! Armed with a £15 budget, our team headed out to charity shops to hunt for pre-loved treasures and materials that could be transformed into exciting tuff tray experiences. This was all about sustainability, recycling, thinking creatively and discovering how everyday items can become extraordinary learning opportunities for our children. ♻️

We finished the day by revisiting our curriculum, reflecting on our practice and sharing ideas about how we can continue to enrich the children’s learning experiences at Toddletown. To bring everything together, we ended with a collaborative quiz to recap what we had learnt throughout the day!
